Ordinances & Resolutions


The following Ordinances & Resolutions were passed in September:

Ordinance 2015-68 – confirms the appointment, by the Mayor, of Richard Loconti as Building Commissioner and authorizes the Mayor to enter into an employment agreement with Mr. Loconti.

Ordinance 2015-69 – confirms the appointment, by the Mayor, of Mark Kavaras as Building Inspector and authorizes the Mayor to enter into an employment agreement with Mr. Kavaras.

Ordinance 2015-70 – authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Village of Bentleyville for cooperation and cost sharing for the 2015 Pavement Marking Program in the Village of Moreland Hills and Village of Bentleyville.

Ordinance 2015-71 - authorizes the Mayor to enter into a contract with J.D. Striping & Services, Inc., for the 2015 Pavement Striping Program, for a total amount of $19,528.25. The total cost will be split between Moreland Hills and Bentleyville (per Ordinance 2015-70). Moreland Hills will pay $13,631.30.

Ordinance 2015-72 – authorizes the Mayor to execute an agreement for the transfer and disposal of solid waste services, as part of the Consortium organized by the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District. The contract was awarded to Browning Ferris Industries of Ohio, Inc.

Ordinance 2015-73 – authorizes the Mayor to execute an agreement for recycling processing services, as part of the Consortium organized by the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District. The contract was awarded to Kimble Transfer & Recycling.

Resolution 2015-74 - a resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission, which is a financial housekeeping item.

Ordinance 2015-75 - a monthly financial housekeeping item.
