  Utilities Committee Meeting
  February 23, 2009

  Chairman Ted Buczek called the Utilities Committee meeting to order at 3:42 pm.  Attending were Bill Wortzman, Council; Susan Renda, Mayor; Jeff Filarski, Village Engineer; Ted DeWater, Service Director; and Mike Bode, Wastewater Operations Manager.

  Minutes:  January minutes approved.

  GENERAL DISCUSSION

  1. The Village is now officially registered with Ohio Utilities Protection Service.

  FACILITY PROGRESS REPORT

  1. The monthly Facility Progress Report as prepared by Mike Bode is attached.

  STORMWATER PHASE II

  1. No report.

  MISCELLANEOUS

  1. Jeff Filarski reported that the bid opening for the construction of the force main from the Jackson Valley to Stonewood Drive is scheduled for March 6th.  This force main is part of the abandonment of the Jackson Valley, Quail Hollow & Woodland Glen WWTPs; the JQW Project.  Providing the bids are acceptable, this project will be presented to Council for consideration at the March meeting.
  2. Council will consider the purchase of a wastewater utility maintenance truck.

   

  Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 23, 2009 @ 3:30 pm.

  The meeting was adjourned at 4:15 pm.
